It tells the story of an unlikely but profound friendship between two girls who first meet as sorcery students.

Their extraordinary adventures in Oz will ultimately see them fulfil their destinies as Glinda The Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Cast member George Ure made his West End debut in Wicked and now, after touring Europe, is returning to the show in the role of lovesick munchkin Boq.

“Boq spends the first act chasing around after Glinda and in the second act, everything changes,” he said.

He also compared being in the cast of such a special show with being part of a big family.

He said: “It appeals to everyone – all ages, young and old can relate.

“It’s fun and exciting. There is nothing quite like it regarding the production value, which is exquisite.”

The show has already been seen by more than 36m people around the world and currently has six productions running around the world.
