The Alan Ayckbourn play follows Susan, a neglected housewife who starts to confuse fantasy and reality after banging her head on a rake in the garden.

The handsome husband and loving daughter of her dream world seem far more appealing that her moralistic husband and moody son, but it’s not long before the dream becomes a nightmare.

The season continues in November with Red Riding Hood and Robin, a reworking of the well-known story of the little girl taking goodies to her sick grandma.

The espionage drama Pack of Lies, which starred Judi Dench and Michael Williams when it first opened in the West End, will be performed over seven nights in January.
