Bradford theatres spring into 2015 with impressive programme

It is going to be a big 2015 for Bradford theatres, as luminaries of the entertainment world are set to take centre stage in the city this year.

Classic musicals such as Calamity Jane and Oaklahoma will swing into town, while kids’ favourites such as Sooty and The Cat In The Hat will also make an appearance.

Shows kick off this month, as pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs continues until January 25. Prince of Bradford panto and King of comedy Billy Pearce returns to the Alhambra Theatre bypopular demand for his sixteenth Bradford pantomime season, as the loveable Muddles.

Adam Renton, general manager of Bradford Theatres said: “We are looking ahead to an exciting 2015 for Bradford theatres.

“The first round application for funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund to restore and develop St George’s Hall has been successful and we begin work to prepare for round two of the process. St George’s Hall continues to host a diverse and vibrant range of entertainment and spring is no exception.”
