The roots of burlesque

The teasing art of burlesque goes back to its traditional European roots of British music hall and continental cabaret, in an acclaimed musical coming to Halifax Victoria Theatre from July 15-17.

Miss Nightingale – The Burlesque Musical tells a gripping story of sex, scandal and showbiz in war-torn 1940s London, and stars British-born international burlesque icon Amber Topaz.
