Textiles exhibition is part of town’s heritage
Art and Design in Textiles has been put on by pupils at St John Fisher Catholic High School.
Using embroidery, weaving, print and dye-work skills, pupils have created pieces for their A-levels, most of it using recycled materials.

She said: “It’s great for them to see their work in the community and get feedback from people – which has been really positive.” The event has been supported by Dewsbury Town Team.
John Dennehy, from the town team, said: “Innovation and design in textiles is part of the town’s heritage and this exhibition shows that ideas and skills still thrive here in the younger generation.”
