Tales fromthe riverbank

THE adventures of Mole, Ratty, Badger and Toad come to life on the Leeds stage this month.

This lively festive show, which playwright Alan Bennett has adapted from Kenneth Grahame’s family classic The Wind in the Willows is performed by a talented ensemble of 16 actor-musicians, joined by a supporting cast of 20 young people auditioned from across Yorkshire.

Family audiences will be transported via car, train or horse-drawn caravan into the idyllic world of Grahame’s much loved characters, from the charming tranquillity of Ratty’s riverbank to the spectacular chaos of Toad Hall.

The Wind in the Willows is at the West Yorkshire Playhouse from November 24-January 19. Tickets are £9-£27.50, call the box office on 0113 213 7700 or book online at www.wyp.org.uk.
