Rocky Horror is still a blast after 40 years

If you are yet to experience the likes of Brad, Janet, Riff Raff and Frank-N-Furter in the stocking-clad flesh, now is the time to join the party.

Rocky Horror Show is celebrating its fortieth anniversary, but its timelessness means it’s as shockingly fresh today as it was in the seventies.

Starring Tracy Beaker and Strictly Come Dancing star Dani Harmer stars as the impressionable Janet, with former Eastender Sam Attwater as Brad, the young cast seem to be having as much fun on stage as the audience are having off stage. In true Rocky style, the audience is an extra cast member, which adds for extra laughs, and how the cast keep a straight face during some of the heckles is beyond me. Absolute pro at this was narrator Philip Franks, who was lightning fast with every quip, and kept everything on cue. The star of the show for me was Oliver Thornton as Frank, whose booming voice - and amazing legs - stole my attention. LINDSAY PANTRY
