Olly Murs joins Blue and Scouting for Girls on Leeds Party in the Park line-up

Organisers Leeds City Council and Radio Aire today revealed the trio will join fellow chart-toppers Stooshe and A*M*E in the line-up for the annual outdoor concert on Sunday, July 28.

Multi-Brit Award nominee Olly Murs, who enjoyed major success with hit singles Please Don’t Let Me Go, Heart Skips a Beat and Troublemaker, will be taking to the stage alongside Scouting for Girls who return to Party in the Park for the first time since their memorable debut appearance in 2010, when their performance of hits She’s So Lovely, Heartbeat, and Elvis Ain’t Dead proved one of the highlights of the day.

After now completing a successful third album, the three-piece are awaiting a release of their greatest hits album later this summer.

Boyband Blue will be heading to Leeds as part of their continued comeback since reforming in 2009. The quartet enjoyed huge success with number one-selling albums All Rise, One Love and Guilty plus 16 singles in just a four-year period before deciding to split up in 2005. Now back together, the group will be embarking on their first major tour in almost a decade later this year.

Girlband Stooshe enjoyed a successful debut at Temple Newsam last year and will be returning for more this July. The trio will be performing songs from their debut album London with the Lights On, which was released last week.

Rising star A*M*E spent two weeks at the top of the singles chart with, Need U (100%), the Duke Dumont produced track she wrote and performed. The 18-year-old from South London (via Sierra Leone) has already toured with JLS, Rizzle Kicks and Olly Murs.

Leeds City Council executive member for leisure and skills, Coun Lucinda Yeadon, said: “This year’s line-up for Party in the Park is looking really impressive with something for everyone to enjoy. Olly Murs is sure to put on a great performance, and Scouting for Girls are sure to get a great welcome as will Blue in their comeback.

“Stooshe and A*M*E will be keen to make their mark so together with the names to come it is shaping up to be another fantastic concert this year.”

Radio Aire breakfast presenter Rich Williams said: “This is going to be a stunning Party in the Park. It’s hard to know what the highlight will be on the day with great live performers like Olly Murs, Scouting For Girls and Blue all coming to Leeds.”

Tickets are also be available in person only from the Temple Newsam gift shop in the stable courtyard. Advanced car parking tickets are also available to purchase this year online and from the city centre box office.

Tickets are priced at £5 for Breezecard holders, £6.50 for LEEDSCard Extra holders, £8 for those with Leeds Active, LibraryCard and standard LEEDSCards and £10 for general admission.

Discounted tickets for groups of friends/family members will also be available at £7 each for bookings of between five and 10 people.

Children aged four and under will be able to attend free of charge although a separate ticket will be required.
