Oakwell hosts adaptation of Brontë classic Wuthering Heights
A production of Wuthering Heights will be performed at Oakwell Country Park on Wednesday August 13, as part of Chapterhouse Theatre Company’s tour of outdoor venues.
Script writer Lana Turner said: “It’s a challenging story to adapt, spanning two generations, but I hope that I have managed to instill all the passion and wildness of Emily Brontë’s masterpiece and that people fall for Catherine and Heathcliff just as I have.”

Hide AdDirector Rebecca Gadsby said she hoped to bring the visceral thrill of Brontë’s novel to the stage with this production.
