Based on the HG Wells’s novel Kipps: The Story of a Simple Soul, it tells the story of an orphan who unexpectedly inherits a fortune and climbs the social ladder before losing everything and realising that you just can’t buy happiness.

Now Dewsbury Collegians are bringing the 1963 West End show back to the stage. Chris Nuttall reprises the role of Arthur Kipps and Alison Wood plays his childhood sweetheart, Ann. Noel Rigg, from the Collegians, said: “This is a very happy song and dance show.” The show runs from June 13-15 each evening at 7.15pm. Ticket prices: Stalls £11.00 Full, £9.50 Concession, Balcony £12.50 (no concessions). There is also a special Tuesday night offer, where all stall seats will be £8.
