Musicals, circus and classics to come to in new theatre season

Tickets are now on sale for the Alhambra Theatre’s spring programme.

The productions at the Bradford theatre from March next year include big musicals, contemporary circus and a classic American drama.

First up, opening on Tueday March 3, is Cole Porter’s Anything Goes, which will feature a live orchestra. It will be followed by contemporary circus production Cirque Eloize on March 18, which will be the only date in Yorkshire.

Tickets for Anything Goes are £21.50-£39.50 and Cirque Eloize £16-£27.

A View From the Bridge, which begins on Tuesday March 31, tells the story of an Italian immigrant community in 1950s New York when emotion bubbles to the surface. Tickets are £10.50-£25.

Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! will return to the theatre on Tuesday April 14. Tickets are £17.50-£37.50.

Acclaimed musical and winner of 55 major awards, Jersey Boys, which depicts the rise of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, kicks off on Tuesday April 28.

The production will include such hits as Walk Like a Man, Sherry, Bye Bye Baby (Baby Goodbye) and Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.

The Alhambra is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year after officially opening on March 18, 1914.
