Mark Thomas tells tale of betrayal
Elder statesman of comedy and all-round mischief-maker Mark Thomas brings his award-winning show Cuckooed to the Lawrence Batley Theatre, Huddersefield, tonight.
Mark’s latest show, which sold out at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe and won him the Amnesty International Freedom of Expression and Scotsman Fringe First Awards, is a comedy of betrayal, hubris and undercover deceit. It focuses on the story of activist friend who was exposed as a mole for Britain’s biggest arms manufacturer, BAE Systems, and examines value of trust, friendship and the role of the state.
