Festive treat is in store from theatre group

He was down and out and going to pack it all in, yet he ‘turned again’ to have another go and became a great success – the most celebrated Lord Mayor of London ever.

St Mary’s Theatre Group has pulled out all the stops in their latest festive season production, Happy Christmas 2011, featuring their version of the ever popular pantomime Dick Whittington.

The family show features a full-length panto and, as usual, every child in the audience will receive a free gift from Santa Claus.

Twenty performers aged between seven years to over 60 will take to the stage for the festive treat,

Tickets to the full costume production – which is at St Mary’s Parochial Hall, Melton Street, Batley – are £4 by contacting Steve Walker on 01924 478394, any Theatre Group member, St Mary’s Social Club and Batley Resource Centre at Commercial Street, Batley.

The show runs from December 8-10 at 7.30pm, with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm and a Sunday performance at 1.30pm.
