Batley’s night of dance appeal for cancer trust

A night of dance in Batley will be held to raise funds for a newly set-up cancer trust tomorrow (Saturday).

Let Us Entertain You will be hosted by the S L Academy of Dance, who will perform a range of styles, including breakdance, as well as showing -off their vocal talents.

The show will commemorate the death of the troupe leader Stacey Scrutton’s nana Mary Bennett, who in February lost a three-year battle with cancer aged 76.

Programme and raffle sales, as well as personal donations, will therefore be made to the True Angels Trust, founded in Mary’s name.

This was was set-up by Stacey with the backing of Yorkshire Cancer Trust - who provided materials such as money boxes.

The show will be held at Batley Town Hall from 7.30pm and tickets, costing £7, can be bought on the door or booked in advance from Stacey on 07544556651.
