Celebrating 10 years of breaking the latest and greatest new acts, Live At Leeds 2016 have announced more than 70 more acts to join the already stellar line-up of current trendsetters and future stars.

Building on December’s announcement that featured 2015’s biggest pop sensation, Brit Award-nominee Jess Glynne, fast rising Liverpool four piece Circa Waves and indie legends We Are Scientists, organisers have now confirmed London’s Mystery Jets, whose latest album ‘Curve of The Earth’ has been met with massive critical and commercial acclaim.

Joining them for the event on April 30 will be Mercury Award nominee Ghostpoet, fresh from supporting Alt-J on their recent huge UK tour, as well as Stockport’s Psych-y sons, Blossoms who finished fourth in the BBC Sound of 2016 list, DIY stalwarts Los Campesinos! (who also celebrate their tenth Anniversary in 2016) and Blood Red Shoes who return to the festival having headlined a warm up party in 2014.

Further additions to the line-up include the indie-pop joy of Sundara Karma fresh from their recent support runs with Wolf Alice, Izzy Bizu and her soulful take on modern pop and the beautiful music of London via Stockholm artist Mabel.

Representing Leeds in this round of artists is one of the city’s brightest musical hopes, Vitamin, who will be bringing their spacey pop songs to their home venue. Joining them will be alt-rockers Fighting Caravans, abrasive indie rock trio Forever Cult and psychedelic rockers TUSK.

Speaking about this year’s talent and the festival’s 10-year legacy, lead booker Andy Smith commented: “2016 will be the tenth year of booking Live at Leeds, it feels like a great achievement to have grown what was originally a four venue bill to what it is today.

“We have seen some great names grace our stages over those 10 years and I’m really looking forward to what will hopefully be our biggest event yet, it really feels like we are stepping up another level.”

With more names to be announced, as well as details on the accompanying digital programme, Live At Leeds tenth anniversary is set to be a true celebration of creativity and originality and a great way to kick-start the 2016 festival season.
