Summer fun for all was on offer at the twelfth Thornhill Lees Annual Gala.
Children enjoyed fairground rides, face painting, henna art and donkey rides at Thornhill Lees Community Centre in Brewery Lane.
Volunteer Tina Shaw said: “Everybody seemed to have a lot of fun. It really helps with community cohesion in the area.
“I’ve been a volunteer for six years. It’s a really valuable service for the community.”
Savile Town based youth group Kumon Y’all also had a stall at the event on Sunday. Offering free refreshments and games, they also offered to answer questions about Islam. The award-winning organisations are committed to solving problems within communities and bringing people closer to together.
