FAMOUS faces born and bred in Dewsbury came back home to celebrate the Dewsbury Reporter's 150th anniversary
Baroness Betty Boothroyd, the first woman speaker of the House of Commons; Mike Stephenson, Sky Sports commentator and ex-England rugby league player; Larry Hirst, IBM chairman for Europe, Middle East and Africa; Kazia Pelka, former Heartbeat and Brookside actress, and Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, shadow minister for cohesion and social action, were among the guests who climbed the stairs of Dewsbury Town Hall for our celebrations on October 17.

After a civic reception held by Mayor of Kirklees, Coun Karam Hussain, where guests could look round the Reporter's Dewsbury Greats exhibition, the guests chatted in the Mayor's reception room, and then took their seats for dinner.
