Six of the Dewsbury Rams Reserve Grand Final winning team have been rewarded with first team contracts for 2016.

The Rams have kept to their promise of rewarding talented young local players with a chance in the senior squad, with several already having received first team call-ups.

Stand-off James Glover, hooker James Delaney, full-back Will Forsythe, prop Jack Teanby and centre Sam Dunn have all been rewarded for their efforts, along with half-back Brad Delaney, son of former Dewsbury player Paul.

It was Dunn’s last-gasp try which saw the Rams snatch victory in the Reserve Grade Grand Final away to Leigh Centurions last month.

Rams head coach Glenn Morrison said: ““We have operated as one big squad this year, but the first team contracts we are handing to these players is recognition of the progress they’ve made and our hopes for them.

“Most of those lads have had a game or two in the first team, but this time around they’ll be given first team numbers.”
