Dewsbury Rams have extended and improved their deal with main club sponsors Yorkshire Building Services for a further two years .
The YBS brand have been backers of the Rams for a number of years and following Dewsbury being named Championship Club of the Year in 2015, the company see it as an exciting time to remain involved.
Rams chairman Mark Sawyer said: “We are delighted to have agreed a new and extended deal with Yorkshire Building Services to continue as our shirt sponsors for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
“The company have provided us with some great support over a number of seasons and I would personally like to thank Andy Sutcliffe for helping us out not just as shirt sponsors but in a number of different ways when we were in particular need of support.
“Yorkshire Building Services continue to go from strength to strength as a company and we are extremely proud to be associated with them and we hope that both YBS and the Rams enjoy a successful future together.”
The announcement was made to supporters attending last night’s 2016 season launch, in which coach Glenn Morrison introduced his new signings and announced the 2016 Rams squad numbers.
Dewsbury have made a host of new signings for what is expected to be the most competitive Championship season yet and a number could be in line to make their first appearances in the annual Boxing Day challenge match against Batley Bulldogs sat Tetley’s Stadium (kick off noon).
Batley could have former Rams players Patch Walker and Dominic Brambani making their first appearances after joining the Bulldogs from Sheffield Eagles.
Rams supporters will be excited about their team’s prospects and eager at the possibility of seeing the likes of Dom Speakman, Tony Tonks, Paul Sykes, Matt Groat, Josh Guzdek, Andy Kain and Kyle Trout in Rams colours for the first time during next week’s derby.
