THE National Conference League (NCL) Eagles have named a 20-man squad for their tour of France later this month.
The Eagles will take on two French clubs, Emerging Languedoc Roussillon on Thursday June 21 and Languedoc Rousillon Select on Saturday June 23.
Wakefield district trio Eastmoor Dragons, Normanton Knights and Stanley Rangers are all represented in head coach Jamie Benn’s squad.
Ade Mulcahy (Eastmoor), Johnny Hodgson (Normanton) and Joel Marsh (Stanley) will make the trip across the Channel for the two-game tour.
Castleford Panthers have two players involved in Carl Burke and Kieran Woods, as do neighbours Castleford Lock Lane thanks to the inclusion of Joe Groves and Tom Wood.
Johnny Dawson, of Hunslet Warriors, has been named vice-captain for the trip and Dewsbury Celtic’s Liam Walmsley has also made the squad.
