Dewsbury Rams resume their Kingstone Press Championship campaign on Sunday at Workington Town.
With the Northern Rail Cup dominating last weekend’s fixtures, Glenn Morrison’s men have had time to recuperate following a testing June in which they lost three of their four games in league and cup.
The trip to Cumbria to take on Workington will be another tricky one for the Rams but the game marks the beginning of a new month in which they will be seeking better fortunes.
Town, who lie one place below ninth-placed Rams, have lost their last three outings and Morrison will be hoping to inflict another reverse on the Cumbrians.
A victory for Dewsbury will put them back in touch with the top six in the table and avenge the 18-16 loss to Workington at the Tetley’s Stadium on April 28.
A success at Derwent Park will also set the Rams up nicely for three winnable games during the rest of the month.
On July 14, the Rams entertain York City Knights before away days at Keighley Cougars on July 21 and Whitehaven a week later.
