Dewsbury were facing a training dilemma in their build up, as the main pitch at Tetley’s Stadium badly churned up during last week’s game against Swinton, while state of the art 4G training pitches are yet to be completed.

Speaking after last week’s 8-6 defeat to Swinton, Rams coach Glenn Morrison said: “I don’t think our pitch is going to be up to much for the next couple of weeks.

“It would be good if our 4G pitches would be ready so we could get out and do some work but it is what it is.

“It is going to be tough to get out with some ball in hand but we need to go over there (Toulouse) with the same attitude.”

Toulouse earned a 44-6 victory over Batley Bulldogs in their opening Championship game but then suffered a surprise 32-14 defeat against Sheffield Eagles in their first away game last Sunday.

A number of Rams fans have booked flights to follow the team to France.
