Spenborough athletes dominated the Northern Athletics and Amateur Athletic Association event in Sheffield on Sunday, February 3.

Six Spen youngsters competed at the indoor contest for children in years 5 to 8.

Both boys and girls from Spen were impressive throughout, the girls’ year 7&8 team winning both relay races and team member Rachel Crorken missing out on a Gold award in the girl’s individual pentathlon by just one point.

Matthew Crorken won the pentathlon in the boys year 7&8 category, achieving Gold standard in the process.
