Dewsbury-born cricketer Iain Wardlaw could be in line to make his international debut for Scotland.

The Yorkshire fast bowler, who plays for Cleckheaton in the Bradford League, has been selected for Scotland’s tour of the United Arab Emirates, where they will play a series of games against Afghanistan early in March.

Former Hartshead Moor player Wardlaw qualifies for the Saltires as his father is Scottish and they are currently playing in the World Cricket League, where they hope to earn one of two qualification places for the 2015 World Cup.

While in the UAE, Scotland will play Afghanistan in two World Cricket League one-day games, a four-day Intercontinental Cup match and two Twenty20 fixtures.
