AFTER a run of disappointing results, Howden Clough Under-9s stopped the rot with a draw with Elland.

The match finished 3-3 after goals from Will Renshaw and Ben Orman had given Howden Clough a 2-1 half-time cushion.

Lucas Ineson restored the lead with a powerful header, but Elland rallied to level late on.

MoM went to Blake Witty.

The B-team also turned things around - but won 3-2 thanks to a late clincher from Alex Peel.

The sides were goalless at half-time but Clough raced into a 2-0 lead with strikes from Ben Kirk and Peel.

Elland hit back to level, but hadn’t counted on Clough’s determination to see the game out to the final whistle.

MoM was James Steel.

Howden Clough Under-8s came from two goals down at half-time to halve the deficit early in the second half.

But Gomersal proved too strong and netted three more, but the final result could have been wider had it not been for MoM goalkeeper Bobby Knox.

Billy Playford netted for Clough with a cool finish.

Wyke Wanderers A Under-9s defeated Huddersfield RCD League leaders Warley Rangers 5-0.

Reuben Davis netted first for the visitors to make it 1-0 at half-time.

After the break, Jacob Smith scored twice before Reece Clay, Davis and Stan Cahill put the fixture beyond Warley.

The B-team also won after being handed an own goal early on.

And Logan Jean-Jacques converted from a Matthew Leaper corner to make it 2-0 at half-time.

Wyke survived a nervy finish though after conceding a penalty goal in the second half.

Thornhill United U8s chalked up impressive wins over Pudsey.

The first game finished 8-0. The B-team picked up where the A-team left off and Elliott Earnshaw capped a fine day with a trademark thunderbolt of a goal among his haul as well as picking up a couple of MoM awards.

Ben Watson was solid in goal for both teams.

Dewsbury Rangers Under-11s got back to winning ways with a 5-1 victory at Saville Town.

A hat-trick from Joe Jessop, a fine strike from MoM Harry Thornton and a great shot from Louie Walker secured the win.
