Lee Goddard continued his recent good form by following up his unbeaten 151 against East Bierley with a knock of 81 not out.

Goddard was joined in a third-wicket stand of 122 by Mark Lawson as Farnley recovered from the loss of two early wickets to pass the Cleckheaton score with 25 overs to spare.

It provides New Farnley with confidence ahead of this Sunday’s Heavy Woollen Cup final against Hoylandswaine at Methley (start noon).

Pudsey Congs climbed out of the relegation zone with a hard-earned five-run win over Woodlands.

Sam Frankland (58) and captain Tim Jackson (57) looked to have given Woodlands the perfect foundation to overhaul the Congs total of 203-8 with an opening wicket stand of 107.

Joe Greaves turned the game with a spell of 4-35 as Woodlands lost momentum.

Greaves also took a steepling catch to dismiss danger man Sarfraz Ahmed and Woodlands were dismissed for 198.
