Dewsbury’s KBW Boxing Gym secured a second national title of the year following a superb victory by Subhaan Mohammed in Birtley.
Subhaan, who attends the Carlton Bowling College in Bradford, became English junior champion in the 52kg category.
Subhaan defeated several elite boxers on his way to the final, where he met European Championships gold medal winner Adam Hussain.
Hard work and determination paid off for the KBW boxer as he picked-off his opponent over all three rounds with some lovely combinations and kept moving to win by unanimous decision.
Subhaan was presented with the impressive new English championship belt and becomes the latest boxer from the KBW gym to achieve national success.
Teammate Moqeet Rahman progressed to the national finals but failed to make the weight and was not allowed to compete.
Adeeb Ajmal also reached the national finals, despite only previously having five bouts.
Ajmal was pitted against a far more experienced opponent in the final at Birtley and suffered a unanimous points defeat.
KBW boxers Ismail Khan and Saif Cheema competed at the Senior Elite Championship Yorkshire Finals, aiming for a place in the national quarter-finals at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.
Ismail Khan, competing in the 52kg category, was in confident mood after capturing the England Senior Championship belt and the Northern Area title earlier this year.
Ismail out-boxed opponent Raeed Nasar and came close to forcing a first round stoppage in a dominant display.
Ismail knocked Nasar down at the start of the second and although he beat the count, the KBW man pounced and landed a stunning left hook which knocked his opponent out.
Saif Cheema, boxing in the 69kg category, faced Ryan Stevenson from Doncaster.
The pair met just two weeks previously at the Gladiators Boxing show in Huddersfield, when Cheema out boxed his opponent to earn a unanimous points decision.
After a cagey opening, Cheema took the initiative and boxed on the front foot and looked to be getting the better of the exchanges towards the end of the first round.
Stevenson forced the pace in the second round and edged a closely contested session.
The third round was also very closely fought as both boxers showed determination but ultimately Stevenson looked the fitter man and won the round and ultimately the fight by split decision.
It has been a very impressive run for KBW this year, which has seen the gym produce nine Yorkshire champions, two national champions, three national finalists and four quarter-finalists.
