TABLE Tennis player Howard Tomlinson has been selected to represent Great Britain at next summer's European games, which take place in Warsaw, Poland in September.
It will be the second time that Howard, from Mirfield, has represented Great Britain, following a double medal success at the Special Olympics National Summer Games in Leicester in August.

Howard, 33, returned from the Special Olympics with a silver and bronze medal, having finished second in the mixed doubles with Jane McCrudden, and third in the singles.

He also competed in the men’s doubles event with Ian Spencer and finished fifth.

Howard is one of just six table tennis players, who have been selected to represent Great Britain at the European Games, which take place between September 15 to 24.

Howard must raise £900 to be able to travel to the event and anyone who can help with sponsorship can contact Ivan Tomlinson on 01924 497619.
