Parish A are third-bottom after a 33-run defeat by New Farnley A. Chris Sowden hit 72 not out for the visitors, who ended 209-9 despite two wickets apiece from Paul Brook and Paul Fretwell.

Nicky Ledgard led the Parish innings with a half-century but Parish were restricted to 176-9.

Fifteen-year-old pace bowler Roheil Hussain claimed 4-24 as Wakefield St Michaels A made 200-9 against Batley A.

In Division Three, promotion-chasing Moorlands A beat Hunslet Nelson A by 12 runs.

Adam Roberts (50), Martin Baldwin (42) and Oliver Rounding (46no) guided Moorlands A to 212-5. After Nelson lost two wickets, Jack Scanlon (33) and Taswaar Zubayr added 68. Zubayr (81) was bowled by Steve Auty (3-37) and despite 39 by Oliver Newton Nelson were 200 all out.

Adwalton A had their first win of the season, by 60 runs at Hopton Mills A who replaced them at the foot of the table.

Adwalton A reached 141-9 all out as Vas Patel (4-26), Danny Bradley (4-34) and David Greenwood (1-27) struck. Mills’ opener Patel went on to top score with 30 but Hopton crumbled to 81 all out as Matty Lyles took 6-21.

Woodkirk A lost by 69 runs at Westwood Park A.

The hosts reached 254-6 as there were wickets for Richard Dodd (2-56), Chris Taylor (2-33), Dave Pickard (1-32) and Matthew Garner (1-30). Pickard then hit 29 while Garner fired three sixes in his 30 to give Woodkirk hope but only Brian Fearnley (23) and Dodd (26no) pushed the score along and they closed well short of the target on 185-9.
