THORNHILL Trojans hold their annual meeting on Wednesday, July 8 (8pm).
Nomination forms will shortly be on the notice board in Thornhill Sports & Community Centre. The club is urging anyone interested in helping to take the club forward to make themselves known at the meeting.
On Friday, July 31, the Trojans will hos
t a Rugby League All-Stars dinner. Food will be provided by the Maze N’ Jair restaurant in Mirfield. The evening is open to men and women and the dress code smart-casual, 7.30pm.
Guest speaker is former St Helens star Neil Holding and MC Mick Bradshaw. There will be a question-and-answer session with former Great Britain star Garry Schofield, the comedian is Bill Wolland.
There will be fund-raising activities during the evening for the Life For A Kid charity and Thornhill Trojans.
Tickets, priced £25, are strictly limited. A ticket will be drawn on the night and the winner will have the opportunity to play for the All Stars team, who take on Thornhill Trojans the next day.
Tickets are available from behind the bar at Thornhill Sports & Community Centre.
On Saturday, August 1 the Trojans play Garry Schofield’s All Stars in Overthorpe Park (2.30pm). Funds are again for Life For A Kid and Thornhill Trojans.
