SHANNON Matthews's stepfather Craig Meehan has been refused bail by Dewsbury Magistrates.
It was his second appearance at the court since he was charged with 11 counts of possessing indecent images of children on April 2.

Wearing a black football t-shirt and a sports jacket Meehan, 22, was led into the courtroom in handcuffs and flanked by three security guards.

During the hearing he spoke only to confirm his name, age and address. He did not enter a plea.

An application for bail, made by Meehan's solicitor David Orbaum, was refused.

Meehan was remanded in custody until next Friday when he will appear at Dewsbury Magistrates Court.
