Two drivers were injured after a man drove his car the wrong way up the M62 yesterday (Tuesday).
The 37-year-old from Bradford drove his Vauxhall Zafira eastbound along the westbound carriageway after leaving Hartshead Moor Services along the entry slip road.
He was then in collision with an Audi A1 and a Ford Kuga.
The man was taken to Leeds General Infirmary, along with a 40-year-old Holmfirth woman, who was driving the Audi.
They are both in a stable condition and their condition is not thought to be life threatening.
Two other cars - a Mini Cooper and an Audi A5 - were damaged by debris from the initial collision.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at 9pm.
Anyone with information should call 101.
