A fully let investment property in Huddersfield was the star performer at the
recent Eddisons two day property auction.
Briarfield House in Dalton which comprises 12 self-contained apartments
producing income of £42,060 per annum, sold for £412,000. The guide price was £320,000 to £350,000.
Meanwhile, the former Askham Bryan Water Tower near York sold for
£64,000, off a guide of £20,000 to £25,000. The site and tower is currently let to Vodafone and TV York, producing annual income of £12,482.
Parcels of land were also in strong demand. These included two vacant sites and a tenanted plot producing income of £10,884 on Leather Bank, close to the River Wharfe in Burley in Wharfedale, which sold for £198,000, off a guide of £125,000 to £150,000.
Among a range of Yorkshire Water lots was a site adjacent to the waste water treatment works at Ossett Spa near Horbury which sold for £43,000.
Eddisons sold 64 lots at its two day sale in Leeds and Manchester, which generated total proceeds of £5,465,500.
