Students given just dessert
The department held its annual prizegiving for students last week and the event was made even sweeter with a giant millionaire’s shortbread.
The giant biscuit, made by curriculum team leader Gary Schofield, was the icing on the cake for students.

Hide AdThe shortbread was just under a metre in diameter and contained 6 kg of shortbread, 10kg fudge/caramel and 5kg chocolate.
Gary Schofield said: “It’s nice to be able to celebrate our students’ fantastic achievements.
“They work hard all year so it is great to be able to round off the year with something fun.”
