BETTY’S Hotpot was the dish of the day when two soap stars brought a taste of life in Coronation Street to a Dewsbury care home.
Actor Alan Halsall, who stars as mechanic Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap, was joined by his wife and former Corrie actress Lucy-Jo Hudson for a visit to Ashworth Grange.
The couple met staff and residents at the home and signed memorabilia and autographs before joining them for lunch.
Alan said: “Lucy-Jo and I were delighted to visit Ashworth Grange.
“It provides a valuable service to the local community so it was an absolute pleasure for us to meet the residents and staff who work there.”
Earlier, the pair had called in to the Lydgate Lodge care home in Batley, also run by Ideal Care Homes.
Chairman Lawrence Tomlinson said: “Holding events like this creates a great atmosphere in the home. Everyone has had a really great day and thrown themselves into the theme.”
