And the fans are even louder now that the Bulldogs have made their way onto the pitch.

The Batley fans are in good voice. Just the one stand here at the South Leeds Stadium - but it's a big, two-tiered stand. I'm in the lower tier but the Batley fans behind me are making themselves heard.

This competition, of course, brought so many memories last season with Batley making it to the final for their first ever trip to Wembley. Is there going to be another journey to the capital in 2024? They had a great start against Fev. Let's hope it can continue today!

Pre-match warm-ups complete. The players are back in the sheds. They will be back out shortly for the start of this crucial game for the Bulldogs.

We have 15 minutes to wait until kick off here. Both sides going through their final pre-match preparations.

And here is how the hosts line up today:

Hunslet: Watson, Goddard, Carter, Ferreira, McGrath, Williams, Beharrell, Hallas, Whitmore, Everett, Syme, Mearns, Gaylor

Interchanges: Berry, Darley, Wilkinson, Coventry

Mark Moxon makes one change to the starting 13 from last weekend's Challenge Cup win over Workington Town, with Joe Burton coming in from the bench and Greg Johnson missing out completely. James Brown is part of the 17 for his first competitive outing of the season.

Here is how Batley line up:

Butterworth, Morton, Buchanan, Senior, J Burton, White, Woods, Gledhill, Leak, Cooper, Manning, Walshaw, Moore Interchanges: O Burton, Flynn, Ward, Brown

It's a pretty easy equation for the Bulldogs this afternoon. Thanks to their dramatic 15-14 triumph over Featherstone Rovers a couple of weeks ago, another win today, against League 1 Hunslet, would ensure Batley progress into the quarter final draw, which will take place later today.
