Nightmare journeys for drivers trapped on M62 for up to 10 hours

Highways England shared these images of incidents its teams have been tackling on the M62 between Manchester and Leeds today.

Drivers have endured nightmare journeys on the M62 today as snow, a vehicle fire and other collisions have caused chaos throughout the day.

Some have reported being stuck for as long as 10 hours while Highways England and emergency services tried to resolve a series of issues on the route across the Pennines.
