All money donated to the fund will be split equally between our chosen charities.
Kirkwood Hospice
The charity offers free specialist care to adults in our district with life limiting illnesses at any time from diagnosis until end of life. It runs in-patient, day care, community palliative care and drop-in services, plus an advice line for professionals. It also supports families, friends and carers.
Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice
The hospice supports children with life limiting conditions and their families throughout West Yorkshire. It cares for more than 50 children through its Hospice at Home service and at its new hospice building in Huddersfield, and offers counselling and advice to their loved ones.
One Community
The charitable foundation gives grants to grassroots groups and small charities in Kirklees to support their work in our communities. It uses money raised through endowment funds to support local projects ranging from arts festivals and junior sports to luncheon clubs and youth groups.
Asthma UK
The national charity works to reduce the impact of asthma on people’s lives. It gives expert information, advice and support to those affected. It also funds research into treatments and finding a cure for the condition which claims a life every eight minutes in the UK.
