A sign outside a takeaway in Ravensthorpe caught fire last night (Sunday).

Fire crews were called to Zam Zam takeaway in North Road at 7.30pm after the neon sign set alight.

Four people were inside the shop but were unaware of the blaze until two fire engines from Dewsbury and one from Mirfield arrived.

The fire was put out in under an hour. No one was injured.
