Jewellery worth thousands is stolen
JEWELLERY worth thousands of pounds has been stolen in a burglary.
More than 500 pieces of jewellery were stolen from the school bungalow at Birkenshaw Primary School, as well as a safe and a Peugeot Expert van, in the burglary at about 9pm on October 31.
The jewellery had been in the owners’ families for decades and is of great sentimental value.
A man has been arrested.
