Children joined Church leaders outside Dewsbury Town Hall on Wednesday to hold a faith vigil to pray for those who build bridges between different communities.

The Bishop of Pontefract, the Rt Rev Tony Robinson, chairs the West Yorkshire Ecumenical Council and organised the event which brought church leaders from different faiths across West Yorkshire together. Kathy Robertson, co-moderator of Dewsbury Churches, said: “We had a good number of people despite the awful weather. It was lovely to be together for the Church of God in Dewsbury, praying for good things for a good place.”
