Hats off to North Kirklees A-level high achievers
Throughout Kirklees there was an average pass rate of 98.7 per cent – beating the national average of 98.1 per cent.
And 99.5 per cent of those picking up vocational results achieved a level three qualification.

Head of Sixth Form Vicky Chambers said: “We are delighted with the Sixth Form A Level Results and are proud that our students will now take the skills and knowledge which they have developed with us, onto the next step in their career.
“Seeing them flourish during their time in Sixth Form has been a privilege and we look forward to learning how their success continues into the future.”
One “exceptional student”, Kainat Razaq, accepted an early unconditional offer through Aston University’s High Achievers Scheme.

Hide AdShe achieved an A* in Sociology and Psychology, a B in Law and A in an Extended Project Qualification.
At Batley Grammar School, students passed in 95 per cent of all subjects, with 63 per cent earning A* to C grades.
Anastasia Womack and Olivia Merchant were the school’s highest achievers, gaining all A* or A grades.
Headteacher Brigid Tullie praised all the students as “exemplary role models for the younger age groups in both the secondary and primary phases.

Heckmondwike Grammar School also celebrated another year of A-level success.
Excluding general studies, 81 per cent its results were at grade C or better and 70 per cent of them either A*, A or B.
Nine students achieved a remarkable four or more A* or A grades.

Hide AdThese were Rufaidah Ahmad, Oliver Atkinson, Calum Dee, Arun Jassal, Patrick Lord, Abdullah Pakwashee, Callum Radley-Scott, Salma Valli and Robert Wilkinson.
St John Fisher Catholic Voluntary Academy celebrated a 99 per cent pass rate.
Headteacher Kevin Higgins said: “I was thrilled that the hard work and dedication of students had been rewarded. Students have reason to thank their families and school staff for the support they had enjoyed.”
And Batley Girls’ High School celebrated a 98.8 per cent pass rate.
Zainab Patel achieved three A grades.

Hide AdSafiyyah Hafiji got A,A,B; Aaisha Raja received A*,B,B; Humayra Rawat earned an A*,B,B; and Khadijah Valimulla celebrated her A,B,B. Hafiza Dean achieved three Distinction* grades.
Co-Heads Ann McCall and Julie Haigh said they are very proud of the students and staff and pleased to see that all their hard work had paid off.
