Dewsbury’s McDonalds store is to close at the end of the month, after 26 years in the town.
The restaurant, on Church Street, will close its doors on Saturday November 30.
Pritpal Singh, McDonald’s franchisee, said: “I can confirm that in conjunction with McDonald’s, we have taken the difficult decision to close our Church Street restaurant in Dewsbury.
“I can assure you that this decision was not taken lightly, especially having traded in the town centre for 26 years. However, it has become apparent in recent years that trading patterns in Dewsbury have changed.
“I am happy to say that all of the staff have been offered transfers to my neighbouring restaurants.
“I would like to thank all of our customers who have supported the restaurant over the years and also to all of my staff and colleagues.”
