LETTERS: Thanks for inspector’s service

Insp Neil Money. (d11081160)
Insp Neil Money. (d11081160)

For over 10 years Neil Money has served our community as police Inspector, until recently in Batley and for the last 12 months covering Spen Valley as well.

He is now moving to pasture new and I wanted to place on record what a loss he will be to this area. During this period Insp Money has been the finest example of what we need from our police officers – professional, approachable and decent.

I have seldom met a senior officer so well regarded by both his own staff and the public at large. His skill, expertise and force of character have often taken the heat out of difficult situations locally and our crime figures have always been better than much of Kirklees during his time.

I want to thank Insp Money sincerely for what he has given to our area and to wish him and his family well for the future. He will be a very difficult act to follow.
