Have your say

On a hot day last July, Mirfield Choral Society spent the day singing carols.

It seemed strange to be singing In the bleak mid-winter in such glorious weather, but there was a reason for this activity. The Society was recording a Christmas CD called A Yorkshire Christmas which was sold to raise funds for Kirkwood Hospice.

We have now presented a cheque for £1,424 was presented last week to the staff at the Hospice by members of the Choral Society.

The CD will be on sale again this year in the Hospice shops and elsewhere, and it is hoped to raise more funds. For more details please contact 01924 496243.
