A couple from Norristhorpe travelled to their wedding in a chauffeur-driven vintage Rolls Royce.
Cara Johnson, the daughter of Brian and Janette Johnson of Fernhurst Close, Mirfield, was married to Richard Heward, the son of Robert and Margaret Heward of Fieldhead Way, Heckmondwike, at St Mary’s Church, Mirfield.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore an ivory Annasul Y classic-style gown with a short train, lace and pearls.
Her full-length veil was held by a tiara and she carried a cascading bouquet of purple and white flowers.
Matron of honour was Samantha Pascall and the bridesmaids were Sarah Johnson and Emily Heward.
The best man was Gavin Clay and the ushers were James Clay and Ale Lima.
The reception was held at Ponderosa’s Lakeside Restaurant in Heckmondwike and the couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Playa del Carmen in Mexico.
The bride’s wedding ring belonged to her grandmother, which is of sentimental value to the family.
The bridegroom is a self-employed builder, and the bride is an accountant.
