I attended another excellent local event in the World Together Festival at Crow Nest Park on Saturday, following hot on the heels of the Dewsbury Together Festival a few weeks earlier.
I do feel, however, that these events could have a significantly higher attendance were they given more publicity.
It always appears to be that Dewsbury based events are ‘’poor relations’’ in the Kirklees scheme of things.
I only became aware of it on reading Friday’s Reporter and I only live a quarter of a mile from the park. Having said that it was a wonderful occasion with many different events from the reading of Yorkshire dialect poetry right round the world to the New Zealand Haka.
