Educating Yorkshire back for Christmas special

Channel 4 has announced that following the “tremendous success” of Educating Yorkshire, which was filmed at the school, a Christmas special will be broadcast.

The one-off show promises to catch up with some of the best loved characters from the series, including headteacher Jonny Mitchell.

Channel 4’s chief creative officer Jay Hunt said the film will show how the pupils are getting on in the new school year and celebrate highlights of the series.
