A man in his 60s was taken to hospital after his car lost control and overturned on the M606 near Cleckheaton.

The man was going towards the roundabout at around midnight on Friday September 20 when he mounted the embankment, and rolled the car, which became embedded in the embankment, facing back towards the motorway.

Fire crews from Cleckheaton, Odsal and Batley attended the accident, and cut the roof from the car, so the man, who was in his 60s could be released and taken to hospital, with a severe cut to his head.
