Armed robbers raid petrol station

Armed robbers threatened a cashier with a knife during a raid on a Heckmondwike petrol station.

Police said two men entered the Texaco services in Walkley Lane on a motorcycle at 3.12pm and threatened a staff worker before stealing money on Thursday, March 26.

One of the men held a knife to the cashier’s chest while the other stole cash from the till.

It is not believed anyone was injured.

The robbers escaped on the motorcycle in the direction of Dewsbury.

Police sealed off and closed the garage.

It is believed the motorcycle was later found abandoned.
